There are numerous ways of travelling to the
Dordogne, below are the most direct. Times given
below are approximate and based on travelling in
good conditions, at the maximum speed allowed.
Car hire is available at Angouleme and all the
airports mentioned.

The nearest major
airports are Bordeaux Merignac 1hr 30mins
drive from the house. (flights from London
Gatwick) and
Toulouse 3hrs drive. (flights from
Dublin)
Smaller airports are Limoges (2hrs) and
Bergerac (1hr 45mins). (flights from
London Stansted)
Another option would be to fly to Paris
from a local airport and change there for any of
the above airports, or to a train to
Angouleme.
